Hello Guys
Our West of Englands have now started to lay. We are hoping to incubate some of their eggs but we have never stored eggs (We bought our eggs last year).

How do you store yours and which eggs do you keep to incubate? We thought that the first couple of eggs are no good as the shells are too thick? Is that right?

We were told to turn them once a day so we are storing them on their side. They are in a reasonable warm room.

We have put the date on them to tell us when they were laid.

Any help is appreciated.

You can crack thefirst eggs any check for fertility until you see the eggs are fertile, then you can start storing them once you confirm fertility.
Can't help with which position to store goose eggs, but turning once a day is correct.
Keep then around 60 degrees if you can.
Congratulations on your eggs, I hope you get some gossies out of it.

Yes I used this guide last year and it worked brilliantly, I just need to know everything else. Lol
