Came home from work today to find my goose in trouble. Delta (10wks old) crawled out of the pool and walked up to me. Stood infront of me and honked and honked and honked. I moved around her thinking she was hungry and she followed. Walked in front of me again and kept honking. I picked her up and much to my surprise she has lost a ton of weight since Friday (last time i picked her up). She showed no signs this weekend or this morning of being in distress. I set her back down and she layed down. She refuses to get up and walk now. She isn't interested in food or water. There has been no changes lately in feed, coops or anything else and all 20 ducks and the other goose the same age are 100% okay. We have had temps in the 80-90°F for the last couple days. She is in a dog kennel on our deck with clean bedding, fresh water with electrolytes and vitimans and fresh food and grass. Im contemplating putting her in the basement for the night but don't want it to be a huge temp change. (80° outside and 68° in the basement) Her stools are normal as well.

She is holding her wings out aswell.

All other findings from physcal exam apear normal, no open wounds, broken bones and etc.

What else can i do?
Basement or outside?
Any help would be wonderful!

Could her wing be injured or sprained?
She may not eat if she is in pain.

I would continue to give water, electrolytes, etc. If you want to keep an eye on her you should take her inside and have some sort of heat source to keep her warm in the basement. I think the dog kennel on the deck is ok too. Have you noticed any other symptoms today?

Her wing was okay, its just the way she was holding them out. They felt and appeared in good shape.
Unfortunately she did pass away last night around 11pm in my arms. She fought till the end. She had no other symptoms other then going down hill very fast.
