Goose foot injury

One My geese has it's back toe\ talon clipped off suddenly and I dont know what happened. It walks fine but it is bloody and I dont want it to get infected. What should I do? And my geese do not care for being picked up so if its nothing to worry about it would be great! thanks

Clean the wound if you can, and put corn starch on it to stop the bleeding. If you can't catch them, that should be okay. My chickens rip their toe-nails sometimes but they always heal on their own.
