Goose for Protection?

Our goose will boldly attack cats, but will just hiss and run from dogs. She is very good at yelling and letting us know something is around though

My goose is very vocal and when the dogs bark he does too. but he has nipped the dogs too many times on the butt and one of our dogs got tired of it and got him back, but he is a big scardey cat mostly. My dad brought his big over weight dog over one day and Sammy threw his wings out and ran for his life, he also does that when our bantam rooster goes after him too. lol

Sebastian has no problem telling who's boss to 2 of our mini-Dachshunds, but is afraid of the long-haired mini-Dachshund. He'll honk very loudly if the dogs start barking or if he sees a stranger (person or an animal) outside. When new people come inside the house, he'll spend the entire time slowly walking around them, and every now and then nip at their legs. And then there's the floor mop -- he HATES it! He doesn't attack it but he sure makes a lot of hissing at it!

They can sure keep us laughing.
