Goose is drying out during hatching

Hey everyone. New to posting on BYC but ive always came to get the info i need for our chickens and ducks. So a few weeks ago we started hatching ducks and a friend of our gave us a couple goose eggs to try and hatch. Lucky for us 1 of the 2 did pip and is slowly trying to hatch.
My question is it looks like the membrane on the i aide is starting to dry onto the gosling. Been trying to unzip for 12 hrs now and only a small hole. When do i start helping?
Ive helped my chickens hatch before with everyone ive helped living.

Welcome to BYC! We're glad you joined! Don't assist geese until at least 36 hours after any progress. Can you post a picture? Open the incubator and rub some coconut oil on its membrane to help keep it moist. Congrats on your gosling!

I agree on leaving it alone, BUT!!!! You do need to raise the humidity (which is obviously low), and moisten the membrane.

The gosling was pipped on the morning of the 26th. Just started trying to unzip yesterday morning the 27th. So i guess its been 24 hrs since unzip started. 48 since it started anything.

Are you sure it's unzipping? Goslings are fabulous hatchers, they very rarely need help. Don't assist unless you are absolutely sure it needs help. Waterfowl can safely take up to 72 hours from external pip to hatch. Is it making any yawning/chewing motions? Pics would definitely help.

Ok. I would do the coconut oil. It doesn't look too bad. What's the humidity % right now?

Its at 50% im just worried it is stuck. I did coconut oil. Now crossing my fingers its ok.

Oh my goodness! Raise the humidity to 70%!! 80 even!

That's way too low. I have mine at 75% for geese
