This might be a strange thing or something quite common, I wouldn't know I have never seen a goose Squat before, But when I go out to feed or look or even walking past the goose pen, My so called Male goose, is squatting at me, is this normal .. He is a Sebastopol goose, I haven't personally sexed him I wouldn't be able to tell if I tried thou, this is my females first breed season shes no where near as aggro as the male, but the squat has got me a little worried that he might be a she ? By squatting I mean - He crouches on the spot there is no nest or eggs or nothing, just couches and hisses at me then stands up and walks closer to me. What does this mean ? Is it a common thing?

Does he move his neck close to the ground like a sort of "bow"...it almost looks like he is trying to bathe in the dirt? When my boys did that to me, it turned out to be mating behaviour...He might fancy you.

Mine did that but ended up being a female. She laid an egg not too long ago
