Goose killed my chickens!

Hello,
I am heartbroken tonight, I have a goose and have had him for years now. I also have some muscovey ducks, some hens and drakes too.
Well this goose has become very protective of the hen ducks and goes after the drakes if they go after one of them.
the other day I found the goose killing one of my cochins, ths little fella had gotten old i think and was not quick enough to escape the mean goose. But now tonight my sweetest little chicken was missing from the coop when I went out to shut the coop door.
I looked and looked for her and finally found her under a lilac bush, she had been killed. Her little legs looked as if she tried to run away. I am crying again!!
They are free range and are only locked in overnight. Has anyone ever heard of this kind of behavior? I don't know what sex the goose is.
Thanks!
I just posted about my goose. So sorry for your loss. My goose who is normally gentle has gotten mean as she is laying her third set of eggs. She attacked a he. But I got to the hen in the nick of time. I’m almost thinking about re homing her as I can’t spare her to the loss of my other hens. Her behavior has changed dramatically with this cycle of laying and it never happened the first two times when she laid eggs! How’s everything now?

U will need to separate them and a goose friend. Make sure they dont share a wall. I am learning that the hard way. Right now I have 2 tufted Roman males geese that have been trying to kill our rooster. They share a wall in their enclosure. Latly they have been sticking their beeks thro the chicken wire fence trying to attack the rooster. Scraping up their beeks to the point they bleed. Marcus one of my male geese even chipped off a small part of his beak. Right now we are working on covering that part of the wall with a metal mesh
