Goose molting or sick

My gander Clover is a year old. He has been acting different for almost two weeks. His nose is sometimes runny with a clear liquid coming out. His feathers look damaged and he is missing feathers around his eyes and beak. He also seems sad. He is growing new feathers on his chest. I believed it was mites so I spread some diatomaceous earth and in the coop yesterday. Any suggestions on what else to do and if he is just molting

If he has mites your going to need to treat him and DE will not kill mites. Since he’s white you should be able to see tiny mites climbing around on him look around his vent under his wings.

He may also have a respiratory infection.

I have checked him and didn't see any

I would say it’s a good idea, he doesn’t look well.
