Hi! I am new here, and also a new goose mom
. But I absolutely love them! I have lots of questions tho. I got 5 African geese in spring this year. They were just 2-3 weeks old. Stop they are like four months now...ish. Two of my babies,( I think boys) bc of Boomer's size and Tweety's aggressive behavior, were attacked and eaten by coyotes. Had to be to take down my Boomer his little head stood to my thigh when he was upright. I am devastated. Very protective over my remaining 3. My questions tho, are: first I'd like to know their sex,bc I don't want them only having one girl and her being killed. And 2,how do I know if their picking at each other is normal or a problem? My smallest is who we think our female is. We named her Scorpius when she was a baby, but mostly just call her Princess. She's smaller than the rest and alot more docile( I think I'm using that word right) she's calm...never aggressive. In fact my two remaining (I think are boys) are kinda mean to her. Duke and Drake bite her neck, nip her and chase her out of pools,I finally bought 3,so they each have one. I didn't notice them doing this to her until coyote got her and injured her. Now they pick at her more. The more I dote on her,the worse it is,maybe bc I'm momma, and it's jealousy? Anyway if anyone can help me positively sex them before mating seasonem
