We have a small flock of chickens n a a very small rooster. I often see the hawks before he does. So I went looking for a guard goose, not many goslings available in my area. So I bought 2 eggs, borrowed an incubator and off we went on this adventure. It was difficult candling 1 egg showed no chg I gave it 16 days then threw that one out. The 2nd one showed chg. We turned the egg 3x day, kept temp at 99.6 and humidity around 55%. Day 28 stopped turning it n upped humidity to 70%.Today day 30 at 12am the little one pipped. By morning he/ she had made a circle around the shell was cheeping away! Mid-afternoon egg was rolling around. 1 hr ago he got out of the egg! I guess tomorrow if he fluffing out I'll put him in the brooder setup n give him his first sip of water n put some crumble out. This is very exciting, I doubted id get one hatched.
