Our little goose isn't eating. I usually give him/her food before bed but last night I forgot.

So this morning, now no interest. I'm not sure if the lack of food last night, meant he ate something he shouldn't? He seems well in himself, a few honks. He'll pull at things, like he does when he's hungry (not sure how to describe that but just finding non edible things to pull on) but not scavenging on the ground. Has drunk some water but has little interest in his food in water - maybe had a few bits that I snuck in his water but he seems very avoidant of water with food. Doesn't want lettuce or apple, which he often loves.

I'm not sure what could be wrong and my only concerning trigger was that I forgot his food last night. As there is lockdown, our birds aren't foraging much so are reliant on my not forgetting their mealtimes!

How long has it been this morning that he hasn’t ate? It sounds like a short amount of time so maybe he’ll eat soon. Does it help if you pick the food up and put it up to his mouth? That works on my ducks sometimes

He hasn't really eaten all day. I threw a little bread down, just to tempt him with anything (his diet is not bread, but very occasionally they have it as treats). He nipped at it, but wouldn't eat it.

I saw him eat a few bits of lettuce. That's it. Ive given him melon, mango, lettuce, two types of goose food. Still can't get him to eat. I'll try the force feeding maybe as he's not voluntarily eating from my hands but as I raised him from gosling, he was abandoned, I did put food in his mouth to get him started.
