Goose Protectors

I've read a couple articles that mention getting geese to protect your flock, but nothing really goes into detail. I was wondering if there was any where to find out more? Any opinions? Does it work?

Although they will sound alarm when there is danger, they won't stand a chance against predators such as foxes, dogs, bears, coyotes, etc..... A Livestock Gaurdian Dog or Alpaca would be able to chase off the predator.

when we had a Red Tail hawk come down and kill one of my bantam hens. My 2 geese where just as afraid as the rest of the flock. They are mainly bluff.

Geese are mainly alarm and bluff. Works on some predators like possums, snakes, or feral cats. But not on the larger mammalian predators or birds of prey. I loose one or two geese a year to owls myself.
