Help health issue with my goose please help me.
Does anyone have knowledge about raising African Grey Geese. I have had a pair for many years now, and my male has stopped eating and getting weak, I can't figure what is going on, he seems to breath kinda funny, and a tried to force feed him but he won't open his mouth and I finally got some tomatoes and corn fresh in there and the he spit it out. Not sure what is going on but our whole family is so sad, we love them like our own. What can I try or where to start to save our loved family memeber,.. help please anyone

my goose is 6 years old male. I don't know of a vet yet, since I was hoping i can treat him at home. I'm terminally ill and cannot work, I live on a fixed income and its not even a possible for me to visit a vet, I have always been able to care for my birds if I can find out the problem, I have never had a sick goose. My girl hatches and raises usually one baby each year, they always have been super healthy. She is doing fine, so I'm baffled on what has happened to him going down so quickly. I tried yesturday to force feed him, no luck on that one. He does have funny breathing going on. I'm scared for the worst is to come. Thanks for your reply. Thomas York

Sorry to hear of all your troubles. My guess is something internal is going on. Have you given him a good looking over? Especially inside his mouth? Can you feel his crop? Is that full or empty? I'm a novice with geese, so I can't be much help. @casportpony do you have any ideas?
