My goose Puddles started out with a large clutch of eggs and my male I think accidently stepped on almost all of them. There are three now. I put him in a different night pen next to hers. She has been at it since June 7th. When do you think they would be due if they are still alive? I know they WERE viable cause one he stepped on had a dead premature baby in it. :(

If she does not get one, can I stick one under her? Or a baby duck? She is a Chinese Goose. Not heavy like an Emden.
Yes, she should take in babies that you out under her. Still, you've got a few days to go. I didn't think that my duck would hatch her clutch (her nest was so covered in poop), but little did I know, I ended up waking to twelve little ones running around.

She has gotten off a few times today. I have not noticed her doing that this whole time and it seems like NOW is the time NOT to be getting off the nest. She still goes back to it and spreads her wings over it. I made sure she has some water and food close.

Try not to stress. The embryos are less sensitive to cooling off the closer they are to hatch time
