Goose with extra skin and feathers inside right leg

My goose or gander still not 100% what gender yet but have been told possibly female. Anyway my question is a couple weeks ago I noticed a flap of extra feathers just inside the right leg. I was wondering if this is normal for female African geese? I have felt it and it isn't fatty or lumpy. It doesn't seem to affect the walking, running or playing at all. There does not seem to be any pain from what I can see. She is now 18 wks old.
