I currently have one of my geese with gapeworm. She has all of the classic signs. I do not believe she is saveable. However, it is imperative to prevent it in my other two. What brand is best for drenching the bird?

Geese very rarely get any kind of worms as they're vegetarians. They are much more prone to respiratory infections due to fungus/mold in their surroundings. Are you absolutely positive it's gapeworm? A respiratory infection will cause the goose to be short of breath, gasping and wheezing when breathing, sneezing/coughing, and lethargic.

I don't know what type of worm it is but I deal with it all the time, the symptoms are like gap worm. If you catch it in time 1/2 cc of Ivomec injectable hog and cattle wormer mixed in water and squirted down their throat clears it right up. I just pull 1/2 cc of the wormer into the needle then fill it the rest of the way with water. It is a good idea to do all of your geese when you see one with symptoms. I give the same dose to all size. Hope this helps

It is imperative that you be very careful when squirting anything down the throat of water fowl or chickens too easy to get it into the lungs, I use Epernix Pour on with my flock you use it the same as front line for dogs. I haven't ever had gape worm in anyone so don't know if it will kill that particular worm, just be careful when putting anything down the throat of your geese.
