There has been a goose laying at our birdfeeder all day. I went out there cause I thougt something might be wrong and he stayed there but limped away a little and his one leg looked bent or broke. Now he is laying a little away because a squirrel came and some ducks. I think he may have a broken leg. Should I just leave him alone? Our wildlife rehabilitation wants you to bring the animal there but I cant bring a goose. I will probably injure him more trying to contain him. I dont want to call the police because they will probably shoot him. Any sugestions?

I'd give him some time and some water.

If he's seriously injured, he'll need either treatment or to be put down. Otherwise he'll just slowly starve to death.

If you give him a deep pan of water, and he hasn't left on his own accord within a day, I'll say call the police and let them shoot him. It does seem brutal, but if capturing him is out of the question, it is the more merciful way for him to go.
