Goose with Pancreatitis

My 14 yr. old Embden goose suddenly became lethargic and went off her food. A trip to the vet with a blood panel, xrays and fecal showed her pancreatic function to be way off the norm. Diagnosis is Pancreatitis. Vet suggested pain meds to make her more comfortable and hopefully get her to start eating again. Has anybody experienced this and successfully saved their waterfowl?

Just with my dog, but they gave him pain meds,fluids and I seem to recall antibiotics. Good luck with your goose. You must be very fond of her after 14 years.
