goose with swollen foot pad

I don't know what to do. My Roman Tufted goose has been limping for a few weeks and we finally trapped him and took a look at his foot. It's swollen but there are no signs of infection, or cuts or anything. Just swollen and it feels kind of hard. He's not tame so it was very tramatic for him.

I dread the thought of putting him through the stress of taking him to the vet. Not to mention leaving his mate.

should I put him on an antibiotic? If so, what? and how much?

any advise is appreaciated.

It may be Bumblefoot. Is there a black plug on the bottom of his foot? Can you take pics?

There is no black plug or any markings on his foot, I looked at it with a magnifying glass.

What else could it be?
