Goosey Goosey Gander - all growing up - Photo Heavy

These are the geese I hatched.

Anyone with a trained eye want to tell me what mix the 3 biggest ones are? They hatched April 2nd and are 7 weeks old and about the size of a medium sized dog. Maybe 8 - 9 pounds each for the 3 big ones.

I have no clue how to sex them.

This is one of my favorites. Very handsome Goose.

I love when they stretch out their necks to talk to us.

The two smallest are brown chinese mix from Cockadoodlemom.

They love when I come out and fill the pool with fresh water. They stand around shifting from foot to foot waiting for the hose to be turned off before climbing in.

I have fallen in love with geese. Watching them grow from eggs in my incubator to hatchlings to goslings to mature geese has been probably one of the most thrilling experiences of my poultry raising life.

I can't believe how big they are already!

They might be a toulouse african mix. A way to sex them is by their voice. Males have a high pitched voice, while females have a low voice.

My instinct was also Tolouse x African.

But who knows. Either parent could also have been a hybrid.

How pretty!!! I'm liking my new geese. I love em but next time I want to raise them from little guys (Mine were two months old so they were big when I got them.) I love to see pictures of other peoples geese.

They quickly won me over. I am very partial to them. I wish we had a big pond for them to live near. For now the little wading pool has to work.

I need to get some photos of my ducklings and goslings. I have no idea how many I have any more. *lol* It's a zerg of waterfowl everytime I go out there.
