How many folks out there watch any of Gordan Ramsey's shows? On BBC America, you can see Kitchen Nightmares (from the US)

, The "F" Word

(F is for food),
Ramsey's Kitchen nightmares (from the UK), and let's not forget Hell's Kitchen.

If you get to watch his shows from the UK, you can really get a good sense of his personality. He really is a nice guy that genuinly wants to help people be successfull in the kitchen. He always refers to women as "my darling",

he is great with kids and is polite until something upsets him. Here in the US, we make him out to be a foul-mouthed, bad tempered, crank.

I have a tremendous amount of respect for the man because he has tried to help so many people in the kitchen, and I think we don't give him enough credit here in the US.

Any one agree?

He is a jerk! Watched about 5 minutes of a Hells Kitchen once and was disgusted with the way he treated a person. Why on earth would ANYBODY want to expose themselves to that kind of abuse? Sick IMHO. Changed the channel.

I like him for entertainment purposes and for his culinary skills, in terms of his personal life he seems to be a hypocrite though.

DH & I LOVE his shows!!!! He is nice "behind the scenes"... The show needs to have excitement though, just like anything else

Hell's Kitchen is what most Americans see of Gordan Ramsey. He does curse and yell and be-little the contestants on the show, but that is what made the show so popular. It is not how the contestants should be treated but thats what the producers are going for. And that is why I ask if anyone has seen his other shows. He does not spend all of his time cussing people out. His other shows are the reason why I have gained a favorable opinion of him.

He has an amazing talent, but I stopped watching because of the foul language.... for me personally there is no need to humiliate anyone by swearing at them... not nice and very very impolite!....
