Black skin, small single comb. Hasn't laid an egg yet so no clues there. I thought maybe a midnight majesty marans? No feathered feet. But I don't remember ever buying one soooo... lol. Maybe a sex link? I didn't buy one of them either haha.

Hah. Well, I can't remember all of them between each rural king run this spring, but they're all from hoover's or my own mixes, which are mostly all moss egger mutts. I know I buy much in the way of production layer breeds. I have over 100 birds so I wasn't looking for a good layer lol.

That said, I know I purchased/have already accounted for at least these from my POL gals:

Mystic onyx, blue marans, sapphire gem, maybe a sapphire olive egger, partridge plymouth rock, variety of cochins, and more I'll list as I think of them.

Actually after looking up Blue Copper Marans, I think that's what she is, with no leg feathers (hoovers website say X% of their marans may not have leg feathering.

Really? That's interesting because I do have that combination that I did hatch a few from, but I didn't think I kept any, and they definitely didn't have black skin.

Where do you suspect yours got the black skin from?

I have no idea; I did have a separate pen of Ayam Cemanis for a while but I had them locked down hard. Life finds a way, though.
