My sweet husband built a perch to go in the brooder for my 2 week old chicks. He used Gorilla Wood Glue to secure the rods instead of screws.

Is that safe to have around chicks that young?

Note: It won’t be put in the brooder until completely dried

Wood glue is fine. Use can only use as a temporary structure though.

I don't think even an adult chicken could peck off a chunk of dried glue (especially Gorilla glue!), and chicks are not strong in the slightest.

I wouldn't worry!
