Sounds like a good plan. They dont need much then do you have some old plywood or sheeting around you could put up on the pen walls. I really like the plastic corrugated sheeting I have in the swimming pool picture I reuse it year after year, when I attach it to things I just use zip ties. .But plywood upside down storage tub anything like that will work. As long as they have heat they can get in and out of and can get out of direct drafts they will be fine.
