Been a long time since I have done it, and they were wild ducks from hunting, but we always just hand plucked over a large trashcan lined with plastic bag and singed the leftover fuzz off..

that's the only time I have ever done it. unless someone has a better idea for my drake on how to calm him down and make him less aggressive. he is my largest and most beautiful bird I wish there was something else to be done.

Right now hormones are running hot due to breeding season... only other option I can think of is to set him up in his own separate area for a while until hormones quit raging... or others establish dominance of 'his domain'... many use 'drake jail' as a time out period with success...
