Gosling making strange noise

Is this normal? The other gosling doesn't do it. Is it snoring? Congested?

It sounds like snoring. Some of my goslings have occasionally snored while sleeping without anything being wrong with them. But if she always breathes like this, it could be a respiratory infection. Does she have any symptoms?

Nope, just the noises. Active, eats normally, and nostrils are clear.

Oh no, I just call them all "she" until they prove me wrong .

Does she always make that sound, or is it only when she's sleeping?

I had a bird that at best I could describe it sounded like she was snoring. It was kinda cute, but in reality it was indicative of a respiratory infection. Snoring sounds are not normal for birds. I suspect without treatment this will progress.

It only happens when she's resting, but not necessarily asleep. Just when she's lying down and close to taking a nap.
How should I treat it? And should I treat all of the other babies too? They're in a mixed pen with pheasants, quail, keets, peachicks, chicken chicks, and poults.

Any chance on having a vet check he out before treating? that way your not using an antibiotic unless really needed. Such a precious little one.

There's a lot of different things that can cause respiratory problems in poultry, unfortunately. Different diseases respond to different meds, so there's not a one size fits all solution.

Very true and most antibiotics have to come from a vet now.

Oh, my gosling did this! I hear it less now - seems like he's growing out of it. I don't know if it's 'snoring' or just a muddled, sleepy vocalization.
