Hello Again, Y'all!
There ended up being 3 goslings, & they are adorable!
I have a few questions. First, how long should I wait before attempting to move the entire goose family from the pen inside the greenhouse, to outside in the garden, where I just today put up a divider so that the 4 year old hens and the new parents can see each other, but have a fence between them.
When I do go move them, I am considering using a large Veri Kennel that I hope to lift over the gate & into the pen. I would attempt to herd them into the kennel by using a plastic garden rake from where I plan to perch on the stacked bales of hay that's to the right of the pen. Ideally, they'd all troop in, I'd hold the kennel door closed with the rake while my helper physically latched it. Then we'd carry the kennel out to the awaiting pen.
The other idea is to catch the parents with a net...
Lastly, I attempt to catch the parents barehanded...NOT my favorite option.
Thoughts? Suggestions?
