Gosling suddenly died

Hey so I'm new here but I've been keeping up with some of the threads since a gosling wandered to where I worked and I brought him home to take care of it. It was doing somewhat ok the first day although it wasn't eating much. The next few days it seemed healthy enough until just yesterday it got some sort of diarrhea. It had for the whole day until at night when it seemed to have gotten better but when I checked on it this morning it had passed away. Was it the diarrhea that killed it or was it maybe already sick beforehand? Any help would be appreciated.

It’s hard to say honestly, the sudden diarrhea makes me think it caught some acute illness or it swallowed some metal bit and was poisoned. I’m sorry your little gosling passed away, at least it knows it was safe and cared for by you in its final days.

Ah I thought so...I was hoping it would survive a bit more but it probably did eat something. Oh well tank you for your answer it helped a lot
