Gosling Wing feathers not opening well and infection?

We have a gosling that the wing feathers are not opening and the wing is twisted at the end from the weight of it. Also at closer inspection some of the sheaths look as if they are filled at the end with dried puss, a yellowish dried substance. These are our first goslings so we have no experience with them. They are about 6 weeks old , Buff Geese. When I pulled on the tip of one of the yellowed sheaths a gob of yellow dried stuff came out and it bled a good amount. ANyone know what's happening? What do we do to treat?

I really can't picture what you are describing. Can you get a photo?
