My little gander, Forest (Gump), 3 weeks old decided to not wait for me to let him out of the brooder and jumped out, landing on his side, assuming (I was getting another gosling and didn't see). It's about at least a 3ft drop. I heard him cry and the next thing I see is him hoping on one leg to go join the others foraging.

He can walk and run with it but he does have a noticeable limp and isn't putting his full weight on it. He even gets in the pool and swims but has a hard time getting out or balancing to scratch. I tried touching it but he went to bite me, his actual leg is fine and it's just his hip.

Should I just wait and watch? It's like one minute he's fine and the next he's hardly walking if he does too much. I don't have a vet near me that takes farm animals

I was able to get a picture but I'm not sure if this is normal

How is he doing?
I think I would just make sure he doesn't use it too much and is resting it. He may need some time to recover.
Since he's using it some I don't think anything is broken and its just a sprain.

He's so much better now! Still a tiny limp but nothing extreme
