Goslings! Goslings! - new pics

Oh, no, I too am so sorry about the loss of your baby gander. Its hard, but it seems to happen a lot in the bird game. Who knows why some times?

Oh, gosh so sorry to hear about William

But glad you were able to find another one. He looks like he's about the same size as our little gosling. I can't believe how fast they grow. Good luck with them

Poor Wills, and Poor Kate. NG looks good though - my two are about the same size and they're four weeks so give it a week or two and hopefully Kate will start catching up.

NG is now named Angus. And LORDY do goslings grow fast!!!

Today he took over the kiddie pool. The ducks were in it and he clambered in and they all got out. He sat in the exact middle of the kiddie pool, trying to float, but his legs are too long now!

And Kate, who is still inside in a brooder bin with her packing peanuts, has gotten really leggy, too, as well as having a much longer neck. (I had to put them all in a larger Rubbermaid bin tonight - the packing peanuts were hopping out and investigating the bathroom - then they couldn't hop back into that bin. When Kate stands up, she was able to see out over the top of the bin.) When she settles down, the packing peanuts get on her back, like broody-hatched chicks do to their hatch-moms. Really cute.

I don't know why I think she's too small to go outside yet when I have newly hatched chicks dashing around the yard with their broody moms trying to keep them safe.....

I laughed so hard during the storm yesterday.

I was so worried about my Henry- I went outside to check on him.

He was standing in the middle of the kiddie pool during the downpour- bill up in the air, taking a shower...

The only one worried about the downpour was ME.

I told him he was going to get struck by lightening...

my mom said,
"His goose will be cooked..."
