So I just ordered 2 geese from my pet chicken, they should be here on 4/22 , a Sebastopol and a French Toulouse both girls, this is my first time having geese (or any water fowl) I've been researching for a few months but I wanted to make sure I know everything I should
They will be in a brooder for the first 4-6 weeks depending on weather starting at 85 degrees and going down by 5 degrees every week, starting on a 24% chick starter, I'll give them some grit before they eat anything else, and I'll give them some grass, after the first week they can go swimming in a small container of very shallow water so they don't drown and I will stay with them, then once they are outside they will eat flock raiser and I'll get a small kiddie pool for them to swim in, throughout the brooder and adult life I'll supplement nutritional yeast, they will mostly eat grass.
Please comment absolutely anything else I should know even if it seems obvious, thank you very much
