I've read that eggs under a broody can hatch earlier than if they are in a bator. Is this true? She only has one egg that is developing and I worry about the chick being alone with her. I'm pulling her out with her egg tomorrow and putting her in the new brooder I made for her and her new chick.
I just would hate to find that the egg hatched overnight and she somehow kicked it out of the nest and it froze. I have a heat lamp in the coop for everyone. Its pretty nice in there. But I just worry about that chick.
