Got a few new birds...

at Bowie, TX's "2nd Monday Trade Days"...they look like these...

Note feathered feet and white plumage

Both of these are actually an even light grey ("blue") on backs/sides but darker grey ("slate") on head/neck...pretty much identical...my cheesy digital camera really doesn't do these birds justice, btw.

Any ideas as to the breed(s), or might they merely be "mutts"?

Do the blue ones have rose combs? If they do they might be blue wyandottes.

If they have a rose comb, they are more than likely a cross of cochin and wyandotte. If they have a single comb, they could be langshans or even featherlegged marans. It would help to get a close up of them, and if you know what kind of comb they have.
