Got a GREAT deal on black oil sunflower seeds at TSC...

I went to my local TSC today, to pick up scratch for my Girls. I like to mix bos in with it, so checked the bird feed section and found 40 LB BAGS OF BOS FOR $9.99!!! My Girls usually pick all the bos out before they eat the rest of the scratch, so they are happy, happy chickens today!

TSC prices vary by area - a lot! They just ran BOSS on sale here for $12.99 a 40 lb. bag, which is way cheaper than it has been in a long time. I picked up 2 bags because I like to sprout a 50/50 mix of BOSS and wheat for my hens during the winter. Sprouting runs the protein up near 25% so I prefer to use it that way.
