Got a Greeng egg! Now a question.

I got a colorful green egg from a hen that I am pretty sure just stared laying. Will all her eggs be green or is it just a sporadic thing? Also are there certain breeds that will lay green eggs or is that just a lucky thing also?

Congrats you got an Easter Egger or EE. Its basically a mutt chicken and yes it will continue to lay green, blue, and sometimes pink eggs.

Been my experience that egg color seldom changes. That means green eggs from her from now on.......

Congrats on your first egg. Eggs from green or blue laying hens will always be that color. Maybe they will lighten up a little bit over the laying cycle.
