We live in south west Georgia and we just moved our 6week old chicks outside to their new brooder. Do I need to keep a light on them all night?

I did when they were in the brooder in the house. I took the 250 watt bulb out today because I think they were getting too hot with it in the dog house they use for shelter at night. I replaced it with just a regular 75 watt bulb. But I was just wondering about them having the light on them 24-7 now that they are outside. Thanks for any comments.

Are they fully feathered? what is your night time temps? I would say if they are fully feathered and it doesnt get below freezing they should be fine without it. If feathered out probably fine even with freezing temp but Im a softie.

DEFINITELY fully feathered.........temps at night are mostly high 50's... Will they be ok not to see to get out of the dog house to get to the food and water?
