got eggs from a friend on here and she gave me 2 duck eggs as a bonus

my question is, only one is developing and its headed for lockdown, i heard you cant have just one duck...is this true? what do i need to do?

You can have one, but it needs constant company, so at least two takes the pressure off the human to be there constantly. I would continue the hatch and start looking around for a buddy.

In the meantime, after hatch and before buddy, a small stuffed toy and an unbreakable mirror help quite a bit, I am told.
