Got Eggs??

What do you do with quail eggs?
Can you eat them? And if so, how would you prepare them?

Just curious.

And those are LOVELY eggs! I can't wait till my chicks grow up and start laying.

My kids get a thrill out of having six of them cooked over easy. LOL

You can pickle them or boil them. They are awesome for decorating hor d'oeuvres and adding a perfect tiny egg to garnish.

Leah-yes I know I'm crazy :

Those of you with quail really have to stop talking about them. I'm getting itchy to try something new and really, I can't afford any new addictions. lol

I must agree. I am trying to avoid these little babies.

So MissPrissy, you need to keep the quail away from chickens. What is your set up. Do you have yours in a hutch, do they get out on the ground, do they have a run? I really have not investigated much with quail, but figure however you are doing it is most likely pretty good.

Thanks for any information you can share.

How about your Turkey's what is your set up for them?

My quail are in a rabbit hutch with wire floor. They do real well there.

My turkeys have a room inthe barn and are let to free range but locked up tight at night. They will be moved out doors when the weather warms and will be acclimated to spent their lives outdoors and not in the barn.
