My Three Chicks
Crowing
Wanted to share my experience in case anyone is thinking about it. I got 3 baby chicks 2 weeks ago and 1 of them was already giving me roo vibes. I can't have a rooster and wanted to have an action plan sooner than later. So I decided to do a DNA test using a blood sample. They can also do a DNA test with feathers but can't use baby fluff.
I was hardly able to get any blood from clippings their toenail (per the instructions) and I didn't want to cut too far. They were just fine not traumatized at all thankfully.
But fortunately it was enough to do the testing.
I mailed it off Sat, they received it Tues, and I got results today (Fri) so it's a quick turnaround (they say up to 5 business days).
There are several companies that do the bird DNA test and after researching I used:

For about $20 it's money well spent. And 99.9% accuracy as long as you don't contaminate the samples you collect.
Fortunately and with much relief...I have all girls!
