they don't stop chirping!
hit.gif
I didn't know this was going to be soo hard
hit.gif
I don't think most of them are going to make it

I lowered the heat lamp and it's about 106.... but they seem better
hmm.png
they have enough space so that they can move if they get hot so should I raise the lamp so that it goes back to 100f and they start chirping again!?!?!?

Go by their behavior and not the rules. If they want it warmer, make it warmer. I usually give mine access to hot temps and let them decide where they want to be. Yours may have gotten chilled and need the extra warmth right now. With 34 chicks you'll probably need two lamps, it would be too crowded for them all to warm up under one, so you may have some on the outskirts that are getting cold. Also when you take the temp, you want the AIR temp to be 95, so make a little "V" of cardboard, put it in the brooder to make a little tent, and take the temp inside of that. If the heat lamp is beating down on the thermometer it will read a LOT warmer than it really is.

I got my first chicks from Cackle Hatchery yesterday.
I ordered 25 and received 26- all doing great!
10 EE
6 Barred Plymouth Rocks
5 Black Australorps
5 Columbian Wyandotts

well something is very strange here.... I've always raised chicks like that so there's nothing different on what I'm doing. The only different thing is that they got vaccinated so I'm very curious what's happening to them
hmm.png
I've lost about 5+ already

pics coming soon!

btw, I've decided to sell them all! something really bad happened to me earlier
