I was going to slow down hatching but that has yet to happen.

Even DH thinks hatching chicks is better than Christmas!! He check under the broody more than I do ! ANd he arranged athletic socks for the lone chick to snuggle in; he said chicks like that!

OP congrats on the new incubator. WHat an awesome gift from your Dad. ANd how nice to have him over for THanksgiving! You know where to get eggs, see Hot 2 Pots selection of lovely hens ! Or try the BYC auctions. My incubator is full--last hatch until spring. Really,really it is.

My Big Guy: 6'3 of very grumpy impatient redneck. When I first got my chick he said "don't even think about bringing them in the house, they're animals, they can stay outside. I put them in the garage with heat lamp etc... I get home from work,....... there is a box in the living room.......full of chicks......they have their own blanket.....they lived there for 9 days. I even caught him holding them. SHHHHHHH! don't let him know I told.

I love my Grumpy Big Guy!
