Got My First Egg 🥚

I have been watching my 3 older gals going in and out of the coop this week testing out the nesting boxes so I figured we were getting close to that first egg.
This morning before a work meeting (yep still working at home) I took a snack to the girls and noticed one missing and she wouldn’t come when I called. I peaked into the coop and there was my Americuna up in one of the nesting boxes. After my meeting I went to check, she was running around and I had an egg I must say she was the last one I expected to start laying first but hey I’m excited, now I know I’ve been doing something right.

How wonderful! Isn't it great to have a community where you can post a picture of an egg and have other people compliment it and cheer for you and your girl? Few of my friends in the "real world" get excited about photos of eggs.
