Got My first eggs & bator ** FINISHED**

I wanna share the experience!

I'll be looking for an incubator next year, and have no experience whatsoever with doing it. I look forward to hearing all your updates.

I kept my temperature at 99.5 and the humidity at 55 until the last three days, then increased it to 65. Good luck with the new incubator.

Thanks ! The temp is solid and steady but Im having a little trouble keeping the humidity solid. It keeps jumping between 55 and 61 or so.

Does 5 (is it called degrees when talking humidity?) make a huge difference? What happens if it's too wet? Or too dry?

If the humidity is too high, the peep can actually drown in the egg. If the humidity is too low, the egg loses too much moisture and the shell membrane sticks to the peep and basically "shrink wraps" it.

Well Im home!! First thing I did after checking my adult flock and my ducklings was look into the bator. Temp is 98 , humidity 56. I wish I had a straw or something that I could use to put the water in.


Hey - as long as the water is in there - does it matter what section of the tray it is in???

Not only did I convice my parents to let me get one bator - I also conviced them to let me get a second bator soon.
