Got My First....

I got my first Quail egg. I know its a quail egg since it was in with the quail, The color and size. Is it rare for a quail to lay an egg at 6 weeks old?????

Second that.... I got Another now. Im going to start collecting them to incubate them. Its worth a try.

Well if it was a coturnix that layed at six weeks that is very common, just look at the sticky. And I wouldnt even try to incubate the six weeks old eggs since they are just starting to lay, I would wait probably another month or two.

If theirs a roo aboard its probably fertile their just like humans.LOL.

Theres 4-5 roos in there. Its worth a shot right? what can it waste? $2 for the power, and time. Apparently, I need something to fill time

There's a great post somewhere here on BYC that shows how to tell if they are fertile. It seems if you crack them open and see a tiny whitish bulls eye in the yolk they are fertile.

Does anyone know where it was to share a link for Tikkajazz to look at?
