How did you attach the wire panels to the wood on the bottom?

Jen, I had our high school carpentry class construct the coop and run. I didn't want to hang around and get in the students way so what I could see from my house was that they put rebar every few feet and anchored them into the wood by drilling a hole and pounding the rebar down into it using some kind of a post setter.
 
Yep, unless you live in a predator free area (and that includes cats and dogs) you need to put the chicken wire on the top of the run and use hardware cloth on the sides. The "professional predators" (Hawks, raccoons,snakes, and possums) won't even be slowed down by poultry wire which is intended mainly to keep chickens in. The heavier square wire you have should stop most dogs. Main thing is at night, just make sure they are in the coop.
