I finally got my first egg from my old English red bantam. I can't get over how little the eggs are I need 3 to make one of the ones I'm used to

When birds first begin laying, it isn't unusual for them to lay smaller eggs. The eggs will get bigger once their internal machinery gets entirely established. However, with your bird being a bantam, her eggs will be smaller than a full size breed of chicken.

Still, an egg is an egg and she's started so that's all good!
