Our quail are 8 weeks old today, and we got our first egg yesterday! It's so funny how exciting one tiny egg can be. My boys came pounding on the bathroom door while I was in the shower because they just couldn't wait to show me! :)
We've gotten two more since then. Can't wait until we have enough for breakfast- we've never had quail egg before. Any suggestions on how to best prepare them?

Like you would any other egg pretty much.
I prefer sunny side up with toast.

Nope. I use the ones in the link, when I can find them in drawer. Honestly I use a steak knife most often. When i have eggs left over to eat that is. I'm used to 26 eggs a day. Currently I get 6 but I have 8-10 more hens coming along in a few weeks and I'm tuning the bator up right now....

From past and supermarket quail eggs (my eldest quail is 6 weeks) I steamed them if I wanted boiled eggs as the shell comes off easier.
