Whoop whoop got my first eggs from my 4 month old golden comets sooooo excited first ones were rubber eggs but getting there lol. My babies are all growed up yeahhhhhh!

Didnt realise how excited i would be. Didnt ever think i'd love chickens as much as our family dogs lol . The other day my older rooster chase my babie cockrel and he escaped under the fence i was heart broken sobbing when hubby came home from work all is well and hes back he'll soon stand up for himself hes huge now at 4 months gonna b alot bigger then kellogg!
Will post pics of my eggs when i work out how to hehe xxxx

Chickens really can get to you. I once couldn't find one of my hens when it was time for everyone to go in for the night. I cried half the night, sure that she had been eaten by a coyote, a raccoon, a mink or any of the other predators that we have around here.

When I went out the next morning to feed everyone and let them all loose for the day, Pip came running out from underneath the house deck, and I cried again because I was so happy!

I'll look forward to seeing pictures of your eggs -- whenever you post them!

Yeah!!! First perfect shell (i was crying am i sad? ) and i know which of my 9 babies laid (omeletta my favourite cuddley shhhhh) so pic is omeletta vs hetty who is already laying she around 12 months i think

I'm the same way with my chickens, I almost like them more than our 4 dogs and cat. I seriously love going outside to get my daily egg from my OE. My brown layers haven't laid yet, but they will eventually. Then I have 2 week old chicks that will lay in the fall so I'll have lots of eggs by next year in the spring.

First egg is on the left and yesterday's egg is on the right. We are eating these all for breakfast tomorrow, there are actually 8 eggs now!
