Got Paint?

Mine's still in the process. I do have the room painted, but am still adding more stuff and want to upload all the bedroom pics from that camera in one big batch to my computer. I will still post before and after pics once it's done though! It already looks MUCH better by the way, the dark purple to a nice light green. It's coming along nice!

How is your painting project coming?

I just have to hang the blinds and install a co2/smoke detector and I am done with the tenants room, still have his entry and bathroom....but only the entry is getting a coat of texture and paint for now.

Next is easy, paint the kitchen........then back to the BEAST....lol

ha! i just read this thread! youre going through the same thing as me!

my bf and i are moving into an old home and its in rough shape. i figured that if i just paint EVERYTHING i can make the house look twenty years newer!

well... after ripping down the wood paneling (yes, WOOD PANELING) I realized that painting over the glue would look silly. so guess what, i am going to TEXTURIZE! on top of that, im gonna kill two birds with one stone and TEXTURIZE/PAINT AT THE SAME TIME! wooo! well anyways... on day three of painting this house. were talking walls, ceilings, shelves, cupboards, i even considered painting the toilet to make it look cleaner!

im pretty sure i have another week of painting to go. oooh, my poor shoulders.

BTW, i LOVE the disclaimer at the end of your silly story.... :du

edited because i am using a laptop and lack the basic motor functions that keep my hand from hitting the scrolling pad while im typing and making my sentences go wherever they feel like landing on my paragraph. man, this thing looked like one of those mad-lib sheets!!!

And yes that is the old cook stove pipe hole (complete with pie tin cap) and the "new" window added in feb 1920 when they probably pulled down the tin ceiling and replace with the new modern cardboard, pulled out the old sink and wall papered over the wooden bead board.

Oooh.... I LOVE old houses. So cool. Love the bead board too. That looks like a project though, I suppose you have to sand all that. I have my room painted, the mattress came in, I'm just waiting for the bed and the storage cubes and then my redo will be pretty much done. I've been taking lots of pics.
